The frames used in the Avant range are made with grade 304 stainless
steel and there is a wide selection of different materials that complete
the furniture, such as; FSC Teak, sandblasted granite, glass, Trespa
compact laminate, textilene mesh fabric and, new for this season,
Moccacino coloured Viro synthetic rattan, used for hand weaving the
A-Class dining set and sun chair.
Stainless steel contains chromium to form a passive film of chromium
oxide, which prevents surface corrosion and prevents it from spreading
into the metal’s internal structure, making it the ideal metal to use
outdoors.
FSC Teak is the perfect hardwood to complement the stainless steel
frames. It is yellowish brown in colour when new and turns a
distinguished silver grey with age. Its high oil content gives it a
naturally silky finish which has high resistance to extreme weather
conditions making it the most durable timber with a lifespan of 25 years
plus.
Textilene is used as seat and back slings on the chairs, recliners and
sunloungers. It is a tough durable synthetic fabric made of PVC coated
polyester. It has specially formulated yarns developed to withstand UV
fading, mildew and the most severe weather conditions. We have a superb
choice of five colours to choose from; black; white; taupe; metallic
silver and copper.
Viro Weave is a synthetic, highly flexible, tensile-strength polyethylene fibre used on our Woven Collections of furniture. Viro fibres are made of high density polyethylene – HDPE, a 100% recyclable, non-toxic material. It is perfect for outdoor use and has unique properties that render it insensitive to UV rays and extreme weather conditions.
