Instructions for using Frost Fleece
Botanico 17gsm fibre fleece is light yet strong and creates a protective barrier against frost, flying insects and extreme weather conditions such as cold winds. Made from polypropylene, the fleece is porous which allows light and water to pass through, so the material does not have to be removed during watering. When applied directly over plants it insulates by trapping a layer of warm air, to provide frost protection.
How to Apply Frost Fleece
The Flexible botanico fibre fleece can be used in a number of different ways. You can place directly over vegetables covering whole bed or cut to smaller sections. Peg down securely at the sides whilst leaving some slack for the plants to develop underneath unimpeded. You can wrap around individual specimen plants. You can also secure over cloche hoops of different sizes.
Hints and Tips for Frost Fleece
Frost fleece is ideal for protecting tender new shoots and spring flowers from late frosts and cold winds.
